Industry Exhibit and Final Year Valediction
Where South Africa’s brightest young engineers meet today’s industry leaders.
Valediction celebrates the dedication our final-year engineering students have shown throughout their undergraduate careers. It marks the culmination of years of rigorous study, an achievement of which they can be truly proud. The event brings together staff, students, their families and esteemed guests from industry to honour this milestone.
The afternoon begins with a formal programme of speeches and a selection of student research presentations. Guests then move to the North West Engineering Laboratory, where students showcase their design projects which are displayed as digital posters, alongside live research demonstrations.
Opportunities for Industry
Valediction offers industry to engage directly with our graduating engineers. Companies can see first-hand the calibre of work our students produce, while students and their families discover the companies shaping the engineering landscape. For industry, valediction is an ideal moment to meet emerging talent as they begin their careers.
There are several ways for industry to get involved:
- Exhibit with stand.
- Sponsor a prize recognising outstanding student work.
- Contribute to hospitality by supporting the catering or drinks for the evening.
