As an institution of higher learning, knowledge is our currency as we give back to the communities that have hosted and partnered with 91¿´Æ¬Íø in the region over the years.
Complementing the community engagement activities of individual research programmes, WiRKH leads participatory and service-oriented engagement with local communities around sustainable development.
Activities
• Linking 91¿´Æ¬Íø service-learning programmes with local communities and service providers
• Arranging knowledge-sharing workshops and presentations in local schools, CBO’s, NGO’s, and other fora
• Securing ring-fenced 91¿´Æ¬Íø bursaries for university applicants from Bushbuckridge
• Linking local NGO’s and CBO’s with potential donors
