Divine Mawuli Asafo is a PhD student at the University of Sheffield. Born in Accra, Ghana, he received his first University degree, BA (Hons) Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana, Legon in 2011. Afterward, he enrolled in and completed his National Service in T.I Ahmadiyya Senior High School, Wa in the Upper West region of Ghana, where he served as a Government Tutor for Form Two and Three. In 2012, Divine started his Masters degree programme in the above-mentioned university, graduating with Master of Philosophy degree in Geography and Resource Development in March 2015 with a research support grant from PERIPERI U and USAID. Before starting his PhD, he was serving as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Geography and Resource Development, University of Ghana, Legon.
