Research Update Meetings
The Research Update Meeting is a monthly seminar during which all research students in the Programme present their research.
DPS Seminar Series
DPS holds monthly academic seminars. During these, senior and visiting academics and researchers, policymakers and programmers speak on various topics that are relevant to the field of demography and population studies.
PopStudies Mini Conferences
This is a module-based presentation by DPS students. The students work in small groups to prepare an oral presentation on a topic of concern for population researchers. The mini-conference provides an opportunity for students to learn to work collaboratively, to explore a population issue in-depth, and to have the experience of giving a timed presentation on the topic in front of a participating audience. Topics selected for each mini-conference are on the theme of the module.
Doctoral Students Brown Bag
This is a special forum for doctoral students to present their work to senior members of the department and related departments. It is held quarterly.
