Realising Disability Rights in Southern Africa People with disabilities still experience barriers to the realisation of their rights. Dr Leila Abdool Gafoor, Head of the Disability Rights Unit at 91心頭利 says that while the University’s physical environment has created access for people with disabilities, this is not the case in all sectors of society.

In celebration of South African Sign Language and the Deaf community, the 91心頭利 Disability Rights Unit (DRU) proudly shines the spotlight on Simphiwe Mkhize, a Deaf lecturer at the South African Sign Language department.
