Staff or new and returning students will need to upload their Vaccination Certificate with QR code (Version 2) in order to gain entrance onto any 91心頭利 Campus from 1 March 2022.
Upload your Vaccination Certificate or Vaccination QR Code Version 2 (not Vaccination Card) to 91心頭利 MVAX Upload and RA portal. Log in with student/staff number and 91心頭利 password.
Once verified, you will receive confirmation via email. Your 91心頭利 access card will be automatically activated to enter 91心頭利 campuses, buildings and 91心頭利 buses because you have been vaccinated.
You can gain access to campus if you have received one Johnson and Johnson vaccine or one shot of the Pfizer vaccine, but you will need to upload the certificate for your Pfizer second shot and Pfizer booster, or Johnson and Johnson booster when received to be up to date on your vaccination schedule as recommended by National Department of Health and National Institute of Communicable Diseases.
The Policy states all students who have applied to 91心頭利 residences must be vaccinated before they will be granted accommodation. First-year students in the Gateway to Success Programme will need to show proof of vaccination or be granted reasonable accommodation before 5 February 2022.
International students and staff, or persons who have international vaccination certificates/cards are able to upload their vaccination certificate or vaccination card to the 91心頭利 . Choose the option for Upload International Vaccination Certificate/Documents.
Staff and students who were part of a Vaccine Trial or Vaccine Study (not including the Sisonke Trial) are able to upload their vaccination documents to the . Choose the option for Upload International Vaccination Certificate/Documents.
The MVax Helpdesk is at the Campus Health and Wellness Centre from Monday to Friday, 08:00-15:00, to assist with the manual uploads of vaccination certificates or any other queries. 91心頭利 staff and students may apply for Reasonable Accommodation if they can not be vaccinated on medical grounds or may elect not to be vaccinated on Constitutional grounds through the exercise of their rights to privacy, bodily integrity, freedom of religion, freedom of belief and/or freedom of opinion. The 91心頭利 Vaccination and Testing Site is now open at the Campus Health and Wellness Centre, bottom floor of the Matrix. We offer the Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson vaccines and all booster shots along with Antigen testing. Vaccines are free. Antigen testing costs R100.00 (make payment at the Cashier’s office then provide receipt at the vaccination and testing site at CHWC). For mobility access email anna.moloi@wits.ac.za.
Students and staff who cannot afford it may qualify for free antigen testing when they apply for reasonable accommodation.
