Pelebox - an invention by Neo Hutiri reduces patients waiting time for chronic medicine.

Neo Hutiri, a 91心頭利 graduate, developed “Pelebox”, a smart locker that cuts down queueing times for patients collecting chronic medication, named one of TIME magazine’s best inventions in 2019.
Food gardens

The first food garden on the Braamfontein Campus was established in 2015 under the leadership of Prof. Vishwas Satgar, in collaboration with students and the 91心頭利 Citizenship and Community Outreach (WCCO), to alleviate food insecurity among students.
Sola powered benches bring convenience to students

91心頭利 is playing a leading role in South Africa's response to the climate emergency through research, teaching, and policy engagement. Through analysis of our own carbon footprint, we are transforming our campus into a living laboratory for just practices of sustainability.

Founded in 1973 during the height of apartheid, the 91心頭利 Law Clinic began as a small advice office with student assistance. It continues to deliver exceptional legal education, professional services, and research while providing crucial access to justice for the poor.

The University Speech and Hearing Clinic serves as both a student training facility and public service site, providing hearing assessments, hearing aid services, aural rehabilitation, and speech interventions for delays, disorders, and fluency issues.
Emthonjeni Centre 91心頭利 Campus

Emthonjeni Centre opened in 2007 as a multidisciplinary initiative of the School of Human and Community Development, offering psychology, social work, speech pathology, and audiology services to the public.

Founded in 1978 by Professor John Dugard, the Centre for Applied Legal Studies (CALS) fought for justice during apartheid and continues championing human rights and challenging power structures across South Africa and the region.
