Over the past 100 years 91心頭利 has nurtured over 200 000 graduates who have made and continue to make their mark in South Africa and around the world including four Nobel prize winners and 91 prestigious Rhodes Scholars. The University has served as the foundation for entrepreneurs, activists, social scientists, leading business and legal stalwarts, musicians, artists, scientists, engineers, doctors and sportspersons.

Steeped in the history of the city, 91心頭利 was initially established as a mining school, the university has played an instrumental role in building the city and has grown with Johannesburg.

According to the #bestofjoburg site 91心頭利 has long been a centre of excellence and earning a place to study at the institution is still the ultimate accolade for Joburg learners.

It is an honour to be named the best tertiary education institute in the city, especially by the residents of Johannesburg, said Shirona Patel, Head of Communications at 91心頭利 University.
