Under the direction of Dalene Hoogenhout, 91¿´Æ¬Íø Choir and Young 91¿´Æ¬Íø Choir will be performing the repertoire for which they are renowned.
91¿´Æ¬Íø Choirs’ Summer Concert is a celebration of beautiful weather and beautiful choral music. It is the culmination of the year’s hard work and a joy to chorister and audience member alike. Under the direction of Dalene Hoogenhout 91¿´Æ¬Íø Choir and Young 91¿´Æ¬Íø Choir will be performing the repertoire for which they are renowned, i.e. music from South Africa and from the continent.
Some of the songs that the two choirs will perform together is Ndikhokhele Bawo which created a stir on social media when they performed it with Zarcia Zacheus at the 55th Anniversary Concert earlier this year. Another favourite with audiences is the classic Akhala Amaqude Amabili. New songs that 91¿´Æ¬Íø Choir will be premiering are the Moses Hogan spiritual My Soul’s been anchored in the Lord and a Griekwa Psalm 121, Ek slat my twee oge op.
