DESCRIPTION:The Steve Biko Centre for Bioethics will host this lecture to be presented by Justice Neels Claassen.Claassan served for 20 years as a Judge of the High Court of South Africa before retiring on 15 August 2014.
<br />He has been the chairperson of the South African Medico Legal Society from November 2014 to date and served on the Ministerial Task Team appointed by the National Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, to investigate, advise and draft a declaration on the crisis caused by the escalation of medical malpractice and medico legal court claims.
