The Conference is hosted by the African Centre for the Study of the United States (ACSUS), the conference brings together African and U.S. universities to strengthen academic collaboration, institutional partnerships, and global engagement in higher education.
The conference builds on the Africa–US Universities Network, a platform established following the 2022 US–Africa Leaders’ Summit, and is supported by leading institutions including Howard University, George Washington University, the University of Southern California’s Annenberg Center, and the Public Diplomacy Council of America. Key themes include: Africa–Diaspora relations; joint academic programmes and student exchange; digital learning and innovation; cultural diplomacy; decolonising higher education; university–industry–government collaboration; and entrepreneurship in knowledge economies.
