It features 48 artists who work in a diverse range of media: performance, photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, multimedia installation and interactive events.  As the culmination of a four-year process of learning, exchange and experimentation, NEWWORK23 is an important indicator of emerging possibilities within the contemporary (South) African arts industries.
