DESCRIPTION:The Centre for Researching Education and Labour (REAL) will host a talk by Professor Peliwe Lolwana. The talk explores the role of ICTs in providing access to skills development and support to self-employment initiatives for the unemployed and lowly employed youth. It presents some findings on the nature of ICT programmes that exist to provide access to skills development, and looks at the possibility of starting some pilots in skilling the youth using ICTs.
