The symposium will serve as a platform for dialogue on whether these institutions are doing enough to serve ordinary citizens. The Thinkers Symposium also seeks to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the South African democracy and hopes to encourage participants to further engage in conversations around democracy beyond the symposium.
